What our clients say

'Kind, compassionate and caring. Laurie has treated six different horses on my farm. All had different issues from wound care to lameness! My animals look forward to her visits as much as I do!"   ~D. Harper, Matsqui

"Layla...and us...love Laurie's visits."    ~ P. Nucich, Mission

"My beloved Isabelle is 14+ years old.   Laurie's laser treatments help her spinal disease. Plus Issy enjoys Laurie's company!"     ~ L. Ciccozzi, Port Moody

"I would just like to thank Laurie at Guardian Therapeutic Laser for all the help with our baby Kona! Our vet diagnosed an ACL ligament tear in her left knee and said she required a massive surgery and rehabilitation which also has a 60% chance of doing the same thing to her other knee after surgery. We started doing laser therapy with Laurie twice per week (Kona loves her laser sessions and always gets super excited!!!)  After a few weeks we started to see a huge improvement. After 3 months of treatments she is running around and playing like nothing had happened. I would like to thank Laurie for everything she has done helping my girl get back to who she was, thank you Laurie! "  ~ K. Miles, Newton

"In February 2018, my 14 year old Schnoodle Abby, tore her right rear ACL while challenging one of BC’s big snow storms. The vet diagnosed her with the ACL tear and said the only options were a lifetime of pain meds or surgery. As there was a 25% chance she would not survive surgery and only a 50% chance of the surgery being 100% effective, our family googled alternative choices. We found Laurie Mason at Guardian Therapeutic Laser and began Abby’s laser treatments twice per week in the comfort of our home, which made Abby much more comfortable. By the end of May, Abby was walking on all fours. Please remember she turned 15 years old this year. We are elated and so grateful to have found Laurie Mason. She is amazing with animals. She knows her stuff and gently and kindly offers suggestions to aid in her client’s recovery. I highly recommend as an alternative to surgery."   ~ K. Huber, Maple Ridge

"Thank you to Laurie Mason from Guardian Therapeutic Laser!  Laurie visited our ponies yesterday and gave them some much loved laser treatments!"   ~Tiny Tales Pony Rescue Society, Ladner

"Buddy is 11 years old and he’s starting to get aches and pains from arthritis and old age. I called my friend, Laurie, who owns Guardian Therapeutic Laser and we did some mobile laser sessions. Buddy’s eyes are now bigger and he’s got some of his spunk back.  He loves Laurie and the treatments. I would definitely give her a call if you have a pet with an ailment. I highly recommend her."   ~ B. de Baat, Langley

About Guardian Therapeutic Laser

My name is Laurie Mason and I chose to become a certified Class IV Laser Therapist after a sudden injury impacted my aging Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever.  After a very active summer, my Toller woke up one morning and was unable to stand.  After several xrays and tests, the vet determined that she had degenerative discs in her neck and a number of treatments were suggested with no guarantees. After several months of multiple vet visits and a variety of treatments, both mainstream and holistic, I was informed that there was nothing further that could be done.  I reached out to a retired holistic vet who suggested to try Class IV laser treatments.  She began the treatments in the beginning of January that year and I was amazed at the difference in her pain level by her third treatment.  After two months of treatments, she took her first steps and by that summer was running again.  This is the reason I chose to become certified and started Guardian Therapeutic Laser, where I could treat a variety of animals (horses, dogs, cats, sheep, pigs, etc.) where they are most comfortable (home/barn) which helps remove some of the stress on their road to healing.
